What feels like an epic journey we are so excited to be able to share our unique farm with you. Simon and I (Narelle) loved visiting Daylesford/ Macedon Ranges and in 2012 found their dream patch of land in Little Hampton, a complete blank canvas with so many unique features and magnificent red volcanic soil and the little farm with a big story was ignited. As Simon is a country boy at heart and grew up on a cattle farm in Northern NSW it was enviable that Narelle a city girl from Melbourne would hang up her heels for gumboots and begin a new life in the country. Our journey on the farm was filled with lots of enthusiasm and setbacks and we worked hard to make our dream a reality – we planted out rows of fruit trees during the cold winter months moved a house from Melbourne and spent 5 years renovating it whilst Simon continued to work fulltime.
On the farm we produce cherries, heritage apples, blueberries & berries, and have a dedicated and a productive market garden, herb and cut flower garden that is eclectic and free flowing. Being able to reap what you sow is the heart and soul of our farm and sharing produce that is grown seasonally and without pesticide – back to how food was once grown prior to becoming an industrialized food system. So, whether you choose to stay with us in The Blackwood or visit the farm gate for seasonal produce or experience firsthand what life on the farm is like – we look forward to welcoming you to Little Hampton Farm, a farm that connects you to nature.
Little Hampton farm is more than just a place to visit – we would love our guests to create special memories whether staying or visiting and to become the place for special occasions.
