Welcome to “The Blackwood” bespoke accommodation designed exclusively with couples in mind. Inspired by a dramatic landscape and an Indigenous landscape that offers guests a chance to relax and unwind whilst experiencing the relaxed pace of rural life. As Blackwood’s are one of many native species located in the Wombat Forest and dotted throughout the farm it seemed fitting to name the accommodation after a prominent acacia. We would also like you to feel part of the landscape around you and create a deep connection to Nature and the Forest. Part of our eco- initiatives and sustainable practices include the use of rainwater tanks to collect water to use in toilets, laundry, and the garden, Steibel Eltron heat pump, and composting waste to recycle back into the system.
With stressed out city folks in mind, “The Blackwood” is the idyllic space to immerse yourself in your own private sanctuary. Inspired by bespoke interiors, recycled brick walls, large open windows with views out to the forest and an open plan complemented by natural light and a mix of old and new curated furniture from local county finds. Included in your booking a seasonally inspired breakfast hamper to include fruit from the farm (when in season) and produce from other local providores in the region. Large windows provide a stunning view of the forest and an additional space where you will find a freestanding Natural stone bath to star or forest gaze. The Blackwood is the perfect retreat to unwind in a natural and serene setting surrounded by lush greenery and sprawling fields and completely immerse yourself with nature. Those of us who live in the city lead a hectic digital lifestyle and the opportunity to get way is all that we want. Set on 60 acres, little Hampton farm can be that place. With an east facing elevation every sunrise and sunset is different – and a view that makes you feel like you’re sitting on top of the world. There is an abundance of flora and fauna and natural springs where croaking frogs can be heard of an evening. Allow yourself to immerse in nature and give yourself permission to unwind, slow down and recharge your batteries whether your staying or just visiting Little Hampton Farm.
